April's Coming

My endless journey to photography mastery plus pictures I've found worthwhile. |

Every blog needs cat content. :) A friend asked me to shoot her cats and I used it for enhancing my shooting skills. 220 shots of three little kitties...
But now I know what "herding cats" really mean. :)
It's fascinating how engaging photography changed my view on the world.
I'm not only talking about the constant search for suitable motives and the depressing knowledge that many professional photographers deliver crap.
The light got so much more complex to me... Right now when I look out of the window I see first rays of light after a long time. But I also see that the light is harsh and somehow "cold". Pictures done with it tend to be rather burned out. The warm light in the evening is also much more apparent to me.
When I look at my pictures from Indonesia, I also recognize how profoundly different the light was over there. I guess there's still a lot of lights that'll surprise me. And I'm loving it.
So even while my pics suck, I'm getting a lot out of this. ;)
Update: I found the video in English.
This one's in German, I apologize. It's a declaration of love of a fairly famous German director to the Leica cameras.
I could surely afford one too as a famous director. ;)
